Mature Content Filter

So, I come on to DeviantART to see if there are any new messages, etc etc, and I dont, so I go to look at the popular art on the front page, one of which is deemed "mature content", but I dont give a shit.

When I click on it, much to my utter dismay, it wont let me see it because they have updated the fucking mature content filter, so I have to be 18 to view it.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?! I have never seen something so stupid in my life. This site completely destroys the purpose of art. I cant believe that they would go so far as to completely censor art that they, or the artist, would deem "mature content," so that only people 18 or older can see it.

What was the last piece of art you saw that was censored by someone other than the artist? cant think of one? well here you go. You can go into any Art museum or gallery, and there will likely be nude paintings, but i doubt that anyone would give a flying fuck like these morons. I can't believe that this site would do something so ridiculously politically correct, because being artistic isnt about being politically correct, its about expressing yourself. This is just limiting the creativity of artists by dividing the audience to whom their art my be shown.

This site is fucking retarded, and I think something should be done about this.

I hate censorship.

Dude... It's not like it's porn. besides, my dad doesnt care about CS sprays anymore.

censoring porn is more acceptable, but this is art. It's wrong to censor art. This site is stupid for even considering the full censorship.
